Though a library is known as a temple of learning which also tracks the fast-moving world, at times they are seldom visited and more often than not only national libraries or some local library shops with people coming from a particular privileged or fussy section of the society are paid a call. The reason for such poor turnover at public libraries is the monotonous ambience with excess time-consuming procedure of procuring literary products which are mostly outdated, thus spoiling the flare for library readings. But, the entire Indian library saga is all set for a historical metamorphosis with country’s first chain of centralized and interactive libraries named Bookmark Library. An initiative of M/S Bookmark Library Systems, Bookmark Library is a carefully designed module to take out the limitations and failures of conventional libraries, thus providing meaningful library services to enormous people and be an integrated chain of library network across the country and globe.
Bookmark, started as a small library at Pimple Saudagar in Pune on September 8, 2008 and within nine months grew to a fleet of 3 company outlets and 20 Franchisees in Pune, Mumbai, Nasik, Bangalore and Ahmedabad.
